‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that while there is always plenty of drama in Genoa City, there appears to be more brewing off-screen with fans. Viewers are criticizing the hair and make-up department, claiming that they haven’t done anything different forever and all the actresses have the same hairstyle! Can’t argue with that. Is there any chance that they would actually change something, though?
On an Instagram post from the official ‘The Young and the Restless’ page showcasing Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) in the Newman Media office, fans let loose about it, and many others soon joined in and agreed.
One fan wrote, “Does the hair & makeup people know any other style then pieces hanging down in front?” This stirred up an entire storm!

Several other viewers soon jumped on the bandwagon and wrote, “yeah not lovin that look either”, “Thank you for saying that! I thought I was the only one who felt that way about that stupid hair style!!🤣”, “right? Omg! I always get annoyed at her hair. Lol”, “Oh I know I just want to get some scissors and cut them off” and simply, “Seriously.”
There’s a lot of talk surrounding the hairstyles now, and we wonder if it would actually reach the show runners. Surely, they have to have heard some of the feedback by now, and especially on their own posts! In the meantime, viewers will be stuck looking at their hair and redoing it in their own mind.
Maybe we can start doing some hairstyle swaps… who wouldn’t love seeing Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in a bob cut?
