Over the weekend, CBS and The Young and the Restless have dropped this week’s promo featuring the standalone episode honoring 40 years of Christine in Genoa City, and of course, her portrayer, Lauralee Bell.

Be sure to tune-in on Thursday, November 2nd, when the top-rated soap opera looks back at some of the highlights of Christine’s story, plus where she is at today, especially after she and Paul have decided to end their marriage. At a major crossroads, what will this legal eagle decide to do next with her life?

Throughout the special hour, look for Christine to have encounters and discussions with the likes of: Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), Nina (Tricia Cast), Esther (Kate Linder), and Danny (Michael Damian). Who will have the biggest influence on her, ultimately?

Lauralee Bell commented and shared on the promo for her big 4-0: “Thursday’s Y&R will be filled with past clips w ith some of my favorite people but it will also be a bit different, mixed with a lot of present day! AND you get to see me say “Bite Me” one more time. Hope you’ll tune on Thursday! So grateful for our viewers! Some who have been along for the ride since Jabot Junior! Appreciate you!”

The daughter of Y&R co-creators, Bill Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, Lauralee, began playing the role of Cricket Blair back in the summer of 1983. She stayed on-contract with the show through 2005. Since that time, Lauralee has appeared on a recurring status with the CBS soap.

As is Y&R folklore, as time went on Cricket matured from a teen model into a legal aid lawyer. The character dropped the moniker “Cricket”, especially after her rival Phyllis turned it into an insult by calling her “the Bug”, and from then on, she has gone by the name of “Christine”.
