In the Days of our Lives recap for October 23, 2023, Theresa and Konstantin crow about the wool they’ve been able to pull over everyone’s eyes.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Xander and Alex faced off with each other, and Sloan proved that she’s not as sly as she’d like to think. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Days of our Lives Recap: Origin Story
Theresa (Emily O’Brien) had questions for Konstantin (John Kapelos) and vice versa. In particular, she wanted to know what the Hell he was doing in Salem, and he wondered if she was still trying to get her hooks into Victor’s long-lost son. Oh yes, Victor’s long-lost son. Who actually happens to be Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and not Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) as Theresa and Konstantin have led everyone to believe.
Neither one was particularly enamored of the idea of Xander reaping any reward from Victor. Konstantin because Xander had ripped his father off years earlier and because he felt he was owed something by Victor. After all, it was Meleounis Sr. who gave Victor the seed money to start Titan. As for Theresa, well, she just plain doesn’t like Xander. But, Alex? That’s a different story. She liked him even before coming up with the idea to make him a very rich man — and she likes him even more now.
Theresa happily reported that she’d snagged an invitation to move into Alex’s apartment but relayed that she was unsure when she’d be able to get Konstantin his promised share of the loot. That caused Konstantin to resolve to stick around Salem, and luckily Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) insisted that he do just that.
DAYS Recap: Tempting Fate
The last person Alex wanted to see darken his door was Xander…but, there Xander was. The purpose of his visit? Convince Alex to resign as CEO of Titan and give Maggie her job back. Yeah, not going to happen.
The (supposed) cousins argued back and forth with Xander accusing Alex of throwing himself a pity party. Alex countered that Xander was lucky as he knew who he was and who his parents were. Also, he finds it highly unlikely that he’ll be told he’s all wrong and that his life was a lie (HA!).
Xander took great exception to all that, and he wasn’t much impressed with the idea of Theresa moving in with Alex either. Then again, maybe the two deserve each other.
DOOL Recap: Unnecessary Complications
Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) was severely put out to hear that Eric (Greg Vaughan) had chatted Nicole (Arianne Zucker) up at the hospital, and even more so when Eric mentioned she’d snagged a second copy of her baby’s DNA report. DRAT! That’ll prove that Eric’s the father of Nicole’s baby and not EJ (Dan Feuerriegel).
Luckily for Sloan, she’d kept a copy of the results she dummied up all those months ago. So, it only remained for her to sneak into the DiMera mansion and switch out the envelopes. Except she didn’t. In her haste, Sloan wound up leaving the genuine article behind, and in her rush, she shredded the false documents. Well, that’s okay. These things do happen.
