In the Days of our Lives recap for October 19, 2023, ‘Stabi’ agreed that Rachel was the key to wrapping Kristen around their fingers.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
In addition, Kristen learned of Holly’s crush, Holly and Tate made up (but there will be no kissing!), and Leo and Dimitri got the heck out of dodge. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Days of our Lives Recap: Child’s Play
At the DiMera Mansion, Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Gabi (Camila Banus) nervously paced their room. They’ve got to get Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) on their side, and the best way to do that was to force her. But how best to achieve that goal? Use Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) to force Kristen’s hand, of course!
They’ll have to make Kristen feel cornered and desperate. She’ll beg to be on their side. But, what to do…what to do? They could stage a phony kidnapping, but that’s “a little overdone.” They could help the judge who gave Kristen sole custody realize the error of her ways by helping her to “realize her dreams” (bribery, in other words), but that’s a risky prospect.
Finally, the two landed on manufacturing some damning evidence against Kristen and threatening to turn it over to Brady (Eric Martsolf). To enact the plan, Gabi met up with Brady and offered him a way to reclaim his daughter while Stefan plied Rachel with ice cream and convinced her to play another rousing game of 20 Questions. And this time, he was the one with the secret. (And yes, it did come off as creepy as it sounds.)
DAYS Recap: Same Page
Downstairs, Holly (Ashley Puzemis) threatened to break Rachel’s face for using up her Taylor Swift brand shampoo. The little girl hit back with pointed insults — namely that boys wouldn’t like her whether her hair was pretty or not. (OUCH!)
Quickly tired of refereeing the two, Kristen sent Rachel off for cookies and attempted to interest Holly in cash — LOTS of cash — in exchange for tutoring Rachel in math. Instead, Holly wanted her soon-to-be-auntie-in-law to help her score points with the boy whom she has a crush on. Kristen was severely put out to learn that Johnny (Carson Boatman) was said boy — make that man — and attempted to talk her out of it. But, Holly was fairly determined.
Unfortunately, before the two could come to an agreement, Tate (Jamie Martin Mann) popped in for a visit. He said he was there to see Rachel, as he promised to help make inroads between her and Brady. However, his main goal was to make things up with Holly. Mission accomplished!
DOOL Recap: Booking It
Meanwhile, at University Hospital, Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) anxiously awaited Dimitri’s (Peter Porte) discharge which was made complicated by Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) desire to follow proper protocol. Curse her!
But, no sooner had Kayla begun to give Dimitri the final once over than he grabbed her and placed her wrist in the very handcuff that Leo (Greg Rikaart) had freed him from. Then it was just a matter of hopping in the wheelchair that “Nurse Leona” helpfully provided and being wheeled to the nearby elevator.
