Donnie Wahlberg, a singer and producer, turned to social media to wish his late mother, Alma, a “Happy Heavenly Birthday.”
Alma d1ed in April 2021 at the age of 78 due to dementia issues, according to the New York Daily News.
Donnie Wahlberg, Mark Wahlberg’s brother, celebrated his mother’s birthday. Alma is away for the first time for her birthday. Donnie is also the seventh of twelve Wahlberg children.
This is Wahlberg’s first Instagram post since his mother d1ed in April.

Donnie Wahlberg celebrated his mother’s birthday with vintage birthday shoutout videos. Donnie also included a clip of Odyssey’s “Native New Yorker” while Alma dances to her favorite song in the post.

“One year ago today, my friend and brother @dnice and the amazing CQ Family honored my mom’s birthday, under the CQ moon, by playing her favorite song – Native New Yorker.”
The 51-year-old actor goes on to comment on the charming footage of his mother dancing in bed.
“Nine months ago today — on a visit home, I was able to play that song for her myself, and she amazingly (but not surprisingly) lit up when she heard it, just like the shining star that she had always been (as you can see for yourself).”

Finally, Alma’s celestial birthday is today, May 6th. Donnie Wahlberg expresses gratitude to everyone who has assisted him in his mourning process. He expresses his hope that today will be filled with “only love and gratitude.”
