Young and the Restless Recap: Changes

At Newman Enterprises, Victor (Eric Braeden) had questions about Adam for Nate (Sean Dominic). He let the younger man know that Adam wanted to start at the bottom. Nate doubted Adam’s sincerity, though. After some talk, Victor asked Nate to do him the favor of supporting and encouraging Adam.

Nate didn’t see how that would work, but Victor said he could find a way. Eventually, Nate read between the lines, realizing Victor wanted him to keep an eye on Adam to figure out if he was really committed to changing.

At Crimson Lights, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) checked in with Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Victoria reassured her mom she was fine, but Nikki pointed out she was being transparent in contacting Nick. As they talked, they wondered if Nick even knew that Victor had returned to the helm of Newman Enterprises.

Nikki admitted she was worried about Victor’s health, but she felt her husband knew himself, and she wanted to trust him. Victoria told her mom that they had to get Victor to see reason, but Nikki wasn’t willing to help her daughter go after Victor. Nikki warned Victoria that undermining Victor would end badly for her and the family.

Later, Victoria and Nikki showed up at the office. Victor had to leave to go to a meeting at Society. He asked Victoria to hold down the fort, and he revealed he’d had a press release created to showcase the changes he’d made. They argued briefly about Adam, and Victor warned his daughter that nobody’s position at the company was secure.

Nikki left after Victor did, and Victoria asked Nate to update her on his discussion with Victor. Nate explained Victor wanted him to be Adam’s new best friend. Victoria and Nate presumed that Victor suspected Adam was scheming, and Victoria expressed that she thought it was a fine plan.

Young and the Restless Recap: A Deal

Adam (Mark Grossman) met with Jack (Peter Bergman) at the GCAC. Instead of beating around the bush, Jack asked Adam to name his price for the information about Tucker. Adam said he wasn’t interested, though, given his turning over a new leaf.

Jack came up with a unique idea — he wanted Adam to give him the details with no reward. Adam didn’t bite, though. He explained his new leaf to Jack, and the older man was nothing but supportive of Adam’s reinvention.

Jack got a message from Traci, and he had to go, but before, he wanted to make a deal with Adam. All Adam wanted was the assurance that if he needed help later on, he could turn to Jack. Jack seemed hesitant but decided to risk it, and Adam agreed to send him the details.

At home, Traci (Beth Maitland) met Jack, and she told him that she had a surprise for him. Mamie (Veronica Redd) was there and Jack was thrilled.Sally (Courtney Hope) remembered her kiss with Adam. Later, she welcomed Nick (Joshua Morrow) home with some time in bed. She gushed about her happiness with her new business, but Nick turned the discussion to Adam.

Sally told Nick she’d seen his brother while he was away. After Sally said Adam planned to start over, Nick wasn’t convinced of his sincerity. Nick announced he was done with Adam, but Sally didn’t quite believe him. As they talked, Nick updated Sally about Victor demoting Victoria, and he felt she probably wanted him to stay on as an ally at Newman Media. As Nick got ready to leave, Sally urged him to call Victoria. When he did, his sister asked Nick to meet.

Young and the Restless Recap: Mystery

Lily (Christel Khalil) and Devon (Bryton James) video-chatted with Jill (Jess Walton). They didn’t have much information about the anonymous investor, and Jill felt it seemed problematic. Jill didn’t appreciate Victor failing to consult her before selling his shares. Jill figured Victor enjoyed watching her squirm.

Lily admitted that she and Devon thought it might be Tucker who bought the shares, and Jill decided to speak with Victor herself. Jill video-chatted with Victor later when he was at Society. He complained that she hadn’t called him in the first place and sent Lily instead. Even so, Victor wouldn’t reveal the investor, and he let Jill know she’d find out soon enough.
