The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Phyllis Loses It As Diane Walks Free – Dropped Charges Unleash The Scissors Stalker?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) life has become a total trainwreck – mostly because she’s supposed to be “dead.” Phyllis agreed to give up life as she knew it when she partnered with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) on this horrible scheme.

Now Phyllis is stuck watching her kids suffer – not to mention she’s been forced to dispose of Jeremy’s dead body.

The one thing going right for Phyllis right now is the fact that the frame-up actually worked since Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) has been charged with her murder.

Of course, this brings a great opportunity to yank away Phyllis’ one victory.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) made such a big deal about Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) being Diane’s last hope – and Diane herself had some hope too once he finally accepted her case.

Y&R writers are setting Michael up to be the hero who proves Diane’s innocence if all goes well.

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has been forced to follow the evidence, but he’s at least considered the possibility that Stark is framing Diane.

Michael just has to prove Diane’s an innocent woman, which shouldn’t be too hard considering his background.

Since Michael is an expert at uncovering dirty details for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he can apply his usual skills here and perhaps follow the trail to Stark’s guilt.

The police linked the poison bottle found in Phyllis’ suite to Diane’s name, but Michael might be able to prove Stark arranged for that to happen.

There might be some other puzzle pieces that’ll add up to Jeremy’s guilt and confirm actually purchased the poison.

Michael might even pry information out of EMT Carson (Walter Belenky), who knows Jeremy and Phyllis worked together to fake her death for this Diane setup.

Regardless, Phyllis is miserable and probably thinks Diane’s time in lockup is the only thing working in her favor these days.

If Michael scores Diane’s freedom, can you imagine how furious Phyllis will be?

Jack talked about the real killer still being out there and feeling emboldened after getting away with murder.

Phyllis isn’t truly deceased despite how Stark made it look, but she stabbed Jeremy to death in self-defense and covered it up.

Now that Phyllis has killed Stark, could she try to add to her body count and make Diane a deadly target?

It’s easy to imagine Phyllis going off the rails even further once the rest of the plot falls apart.

If Diane’s charges are dropped or she’s found not guilty at trial, Phyllis might decide to end her rival once and for all.

Phyllis’ unhinged side might come out, so maybe fans could see her lurking with scissors again as she contemplates a deadly act of revenge on Diane!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane can’t stay locked up forever, so let’s hope Michael can make some updates to her legal predicament and offer good news.
