Y&R Three Stooges: Sharon, Adam, And Nick Newman Go Into Business Together

Sharon just inherited her dead stalker’s company on The Young and the Restless. She and Nick Newman are thinking of running it together. Also, she’s thinking of having Adam bring his newly acquired McCall Industries along for the ride.

Young and the Restless Hijinks

So it would be Sharon (Sharon Case), her many times ex-husband, and her many times ex-lover, who is also her ex-husband’s brother, working together. How can it possibly go wrong? Oh, let us count the ways!

Adam and Nick Newman: Human Resources

Did we mention that Sharon’s ex-husband is also now dating the ex-girlfriend of his brother? She just lost their baby, so nerves are pretty raw all around. Sally (Courtney Hope) blames Adam (Mark Grossman) for Ava Hope’s death.

Adam blames Nick (Joshua Morrow) for turning Sally against him. Nick thinks Adam should leave Sally alone, and Sharon seems to have not given the potential awkwardness any thought whatsoever. Out of sight, out of mind? We somehow doubt it.

Y&R: Daddy’s Deal

Adam isn’t imagining it when he feels he is Victor’s (Eric Braeden) least favorite child. (Well, technically, that would be Abby [Melissa Ordway], but Victor doesn’t actively dislike Abby, he just passively forgets she exists.) Of course, Victor prefers Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick over Adam.

They’re Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) children, after all. Victor would also prefer that his children duel it out to the death for Victor’s approval. Just because they’ll no longer be doing it at his company doesn’t mean he won’t be egging them on.

Sharon, Adam, and Nick Newman: Quad Quandry

And then there’s the love triangle. Sure, it’s Nick/Sally/Adam now. But once upon a time, it was Nick/Sharon/Adam. Sally/Nick/Sharon/Adam makes it a quad. And while those are entertaining to watch, they are NOT the key to financial success. How will Sharon help all those people she’s decided her new venture will help if she and her partners drive it into the ground first?
