Married At First Sight Fan Favourite Lucinda Light Shares Major TV Announcement

She’s a reality TV bride, author, marriage celebrant and holistic counsellor.

Now Married At First Sight fan favorite Lucinda Light has revealed another feather in her cap – television host.

Lucinda, 44, starred on the 2024 iteration of the hit reality series and failed to find everlasting love with groom Timothy Smith.

Now she will be hitting the small screen again, this time fronting the UK reality show The Honesty Box.

The series, which hill be hosted by Lucinda and Geordie Shore star Vicki Pattison, is set to premiere on E4 in the UK later this month.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Lucinda shared a promo photo for the series that showed her posing next to Vicki in front of the cast of hopefuls who will appear in the inaugural series.

She put on quite the leggy display in the image, thanks to a patterned silk kaftan that featured a thigh-high split.

Wearing a fedora-style hat, Lucinda was seen playfully tipping the brim as she posed next to Vicki.

‘Full cast. 9pm, @e4grams Starting 28 April Let’s go!’ Lucinda captioned the photo.

The post was met with a flurry of comments from fans, with many congratulating Lucinda on her plum UK hosting role.

Co-host Vicki was quick to comment with: ‘My partner in crime.’

‘Hooray, wondered when this was starting,’ one fan exclaimed. ‘We all need a bit of your light in our lives.’

Another jumped in with something similar: ‘Definitely have to give this a watch just to see you back on our screens! Can’t wait.’

The upcoming series attempts to answer the age-old question – when it comes to finding everlasting love, is honesty always the best policy?

‘Ready to try a new approach, each single has signed up to this new radical dating experiment knowing they will be tested, in the hope it will lead to true love,’ E4 said in a statement.

‘To encourage full transparency in their new relationships there is a potential prize fund of £100,000 ($209,000) up for grabs, but only if the Truetopians choose to be open and completely honest about their true feelings.’

Hopefuls will have to face The Honesty Box – a ‘cutting edge’ lie detection system, that will probe contestants about their dating history and, of course, drama is set to ensue.

Lucinda’s UK tilt comes after she admitted there were ulterior motives when signing on to Married At First Sight.

Speaking to the Herald Sun in March, Lucinda admitted she used the show to promote her work as a celebrant, public speaker and MC, as well a way to find love.

‘I’m still dying to meet that person of my life and I fell into that fantasy they would hook me up,’ she said.

‘I also did have ulterior motives to get eyes on my celebrant business so guilty as charged.’

Lucinda added that she didn’t have much time for the reality show that catapulted her to national attention.

‘It doesn’t uplift me. Everyone puts their head on a chopping block, otherwise if you just want love you’d go on Tinder. You’d have to be mad to go on a show like that,’ she said.

‘Why would you do it to yourself? It started maybe with wholesome ridgy didge stuff but it’s changed and it can make or break lives, it really can.’

It’s been a red letter year for Lucinda who, earlier this month, released her book Shine Your Light.

If MAFS fans are hoping she would be spilling the beans about her time on the hit show, they’ll be disappointed.

Described as a guided journal, her new book aims to help readers deepen their emotional intelligence.

‘It’s about transforming people’s lives, equipping them emotionally, and offering tools to navigate life,’ Lucinda told Daily Mail Australia.

‘It’s been the best project, working with Harper Collins. I love writing, and I’ve got so much to share after years in the self-development field.’
