Married At First Sight Bride Veronica Cloherty Kicks Eliot Donovan Out Of Hotel Room Amid Huge Fight – Then Rolls Her Eyes As He Shares His Feelings About His Sister Being In A Coma

Tensions came to a head for one of Married at First Sight’s most controversial pair during Wednesday’s episode.

There were stormy scenes as Veronica Cloherty threw Eliot Donovan out of her hotel room after he pleaded with her to attend the dinner party with him.

The drama started after Eliot, 35, had attempted to talk things over with the personal trainer who was still angry with her groom over his confession letter from Tuesday.

Eliot had shared how deeply impacted he was as a child when his younger sister had fallen into a coma, but Veronica, 32, claimed the story did little to reveal anything about her groom.

The issue was rekindled on Wednesday as Veronica revealed she was still looking for an apology after Eliot told her he felt the fracas over his confession meant ‘a development’ in their relationship

‘You’ve got something from me and I’ve still got nothing from you so I don’t feel that way,’ Veronica said.

Things got more tense as Eliot asked his bride what it was she ‘wanted’.

‘I’m not gonna spell it out for you. I’ve been very clear with you about what I want from the beginning. I’m not hearing an apology or any kind of accountability,’ she said.

Eliot then interjected, asking Veronica why she needed an apology: ‘If you don’t believe that you have a reason to apologise to me… I’m not your mother I wasn’t brought here to fix you. It’s up to you.’

An angry Veronica continued: ‘I’m minding my own business and you come in here with no apology, no accountability, no effort too try and make this better.

‘You are just starting an argument. I’m not interested in doing this with you. I’d really appreciate if you would leave.’

After claiming he wanted to ‘make things work’ Eliot appeared to give up at that point angrily telling Veronica, ‘Enjoy your last dinner party,’ as he headed for the door.

Arriving at the dinner party separately the couple then took turns reviewing their recent experience for the group.

And Veronica once again rolled her eyes as Eliot recounted his tragic personal experience—which raised quite a few eye brows around the table.

‘She is judging him,’ expert Alessandra Rampolla said as she watched the playback of the cringeworthy moment.

After admitting he was hurt by Veronica’s treatment, the dark-haired beauty appeared to back down and the dinner party ended with the couple both pledging to move forward with the relationship.

‘I’m disappointed because I feel like I don’t understand you more,’ Veronica told Eliot after hearing feedback from other contestants who supported her groom.

It comes after Veronica was left with more than a few concerns about Eliot after she had a conversation with her groom’s former bride Lauren Dunn.

Lauren brutally branded Eliot a ‘narcissist’ and claimed he only returned to the show to marry Veronica so he could protect his image.

Veronica and Lauren were then faced with a Confessions Letter task which required them to write a message to their partner detailing their most significant relationship or life experience.

‘I feel like Veronica wants vulnerability,’ Eliot said to camera as the pair began jotting down their confessions.

‘I’ve never been someone that’s been overly emotional or vulnerable but I definitely have a willingness to be vulnerable. A hundred per cent.’

Eliot then read the contents of his confession letter in which he detailed his sister falling into a diabetic coma when he was just nine-years-old.

Admitting he had never told anybody the story before, Eliot added it was his father’s calmness in the face of the tragedy which made him who he is today.

‘Dad’s strength and stoicism set us on a path forward,’ he shared. ‘The impact this memory has on me is I never want to be overwhelmed by emotion.

‘I feel like this is relevant to you and to our relationship in this experiment, and why I may appear guarded sometimes.’

However, Eliot’s confession did not sit well with Veronica who claimed the story did little to reveal anything about Eliot.

‘This was the perfect opportunity for him to just tell me something, anything, and he chose nothing,’ she said to the camera.

‘I know that his mum cried, that his sister has diabetes and that his dad is a stoic emotionless man.

‘I don’t think he has the capability to either look at himself or think about his life in a way that’s more than surface level. He cant find it within him to give me anything more.’

Following the task, the mood became noticeably chilly in the apartment and quickly boiled over after Eliot pressed his bride on why she was upset.

Doubling down on her earlier comments, Veronica said: ‘The story is about something traumatic that happened to someone else. You didn’t talk about your own feelings about the event.’

Eliot protested with: ‘I’ve just shared something deeply personal to me that had a huge impact on my life and you’re taking that and saying that’s not enough for me.’

Clearly not moved by Eliot’s words, Veronica shot back saying she was not interested in having a debate with her groom.

‘You are not listening to what I’m saying,’ she said. ‘Therefore this conversation’s over. I’m done.’

With that, Veronica proceeded to pack a back and prepare to leave the apartment.

‘Are you going?’ Eliot replied, to which Veronica replied, ‘What does it look like?’ before storming out.

She did return later in the episode to hash it out on the couch but it appears the damage had been done with the conversation again devolving into an argument before Veronica stormed off again.

‘I’ve had enough. Good luck, Eliot,’ she said as she left the room.

Married At First Sight continues Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
