Married At First Sight bride Morena Farina has revealed that a major moment was cut from Sunday night’s Commitment Ceremony.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the 57-year-old sensationally claimed husband Tony Mojanovski ‘slut-shamed’ her in front of the experts.
The mother-of-two revealed the shocking details of what really went down on the couch, admitting the gruelling session left her shaken.
‘Oh, hell yeah. They wanted to break me. And they didn’t. I only cried once,’ Morena revealed.
‘And that episode was because he called me a s**t. How dare you.’
Morena was visibly emotional as she recounted the distressing moment, saying she had never been labelled with such a derogatory term in her life.
‘Never have I ever, ever, ever been called that. You can call me a lot of things, but I’m not that,’ she continued.
Morena explained that the moment hit even harder when her daughter’s name was mentioned during the session—something she believes was an intentional move by producers to elicit a reaction.
‘What they do, these mean puppeteers, is mention your loved one so you crack,’ she said.
‘So I only cried once on the couch, but just so you know, they’re not going to show what he called me.’
She also revealed that producers edited out a controversial moment from the dinner party the night before, where one of the younger brides dismissed Tony’s comment as a compliment.
‘One of the young girls, God bless her, said to me, “Get over it, so he called you a slut”. You obviously don’t know what it means, Morena, and that’s because of your age.’
‘I asked her, “What does it mean?” And she said, “It just means you’re hot. I wish my husband would slap me on the butt and call me a slut, because it just means you’re hot.”‘
Morena was left stunned by the response.
‘I just went, “Wow. Stop talking”. That’s all I said to her.
‘Because if it comes out that you’ve said that, you’re ruined. And you know what, honey? I don’t want that for you.’
Tony’s ‘ghosting’ and the Sierah scandal
Beyond the Commitment Ceremony, Morena also detailed ongoing issues with Tony, including his apparent interest in fellow bride Sierah Swepstone.
According to Morena, Tony had promised to meet her for a drink but instead ditched her for a night out with Sierah and fellow groom Adrian Araouzou.
‘I said to him, “Are you going to come for even a drink?” He told me, “I owe it to you. I promise I’ll come. I’ve just got to quickly catch up with Adrian, and then I’ll come.”‘
However, Morena never heard from him again that night.
‘I went home that evening and I said to him, “I don’t care that you and I are not a thing, but you’ve ghosted me again. What is wrong with you? Why are you not a man of your word?” Have the decency to at least text me and say, “Hey, sorry, I’m not coming.”‘
Tony allegedly brushed off the situation, claiming Sierah was upset and needed support.
Adding fuel to the fire, Morena noted that Sierah had ranked Tony as her second-most attractive groom during a controversial photo challenge, admitting she had a thing for ‘silver foxes.’
‘Billy even said, “Oh, you like daddies”, and I thought, “Oh hello”.
Morena admitted that the tension and drama of the experiment took a toll on her physically.
‘You have to understand, whenever you see me on air, I had just finished throwing up, or I was about to throw up. Constantly.’
Despite her turbulent journey on MAFS, Morena said she found solace outside the show, making meaningful friendships in Sydney while filming.
‘In the real world, I made so many friends. Because where I was, it was a pretend world.’
