Married At First Sight’s Billy Belcher and Sierah Swepstone officially ended their turbulent relationship during Sunday’s Commitment Ceremony.
The couple proved that their was no way their relationship would last the distance following a scandalous cheating allegation involving fellow groom Adrian Araouzou.
The emotional sit-down saw Sierah tearfully admitting she had ‘wronged people’ after failing to be forthcoming about her secret dinner with Adrian and Tony Mojanovski.
Meanwhile, Billy Belcher was left frustrated and blindsided by the revelation, culminating in both participants writing ‘leave’ and exiting the experiment.
The tension was palpable as the experts delved into the fallout from the previous night’s explosive dinner party.
‘I mean, obviously, I made a mistake and wronged people,’ Sierah confessed, struggling to find the right words.
‘The mistake I made was lying to Awhina, or not being forthcoming. I had gone out with Tony and Adrian for dinner. It was so innocent – we just went for a plate of meat.’
However, things took a turn when she failed to mention her outing while later spending time with Adrian’s partner, Awhina.
‘I didn’t want to upset her,’ she explained. ‘Anytime Adrian and my name are mentioned in a sentence together, everyone’s like, ugh.’
Despite admitting her dishonesty, she showed little remorse for Billy, stating outright, ‘I haven’t spoken to Billy at all.’

Billy, who had just found out about the incident, was visibly hurt and struggled to process Sierah’s justification.
‘I have to be honest, I feel a lot frustrated,’ he admitted, shaking his head.
When asked if he believed Sierah had a deeper connection with Adrian than with him, she hesitated but eventually conceded, ‘I just find him easy to talk to.’
The discussion took a darker turn when accusations emerged that Billy had previously floated the idea of a ‘wife swap.’
‘It really troubled me when I heard that you had mentioned the possibility of a wife swap,’ one of the experts said sternly.
‘You cannot be treating a woman like a piece of meat.’
Billy, clearly remorseful, apologised for his comments, admitting they were ‘poor form.’
‘That was not me at all,’ he insisted.
‘I just feel like I’ve really retreated. I’ve got literally no deep connection from you, Sierah. I’ve got nothing’ he continued, becoming emotional.
‘All I ever wanted was a deeper connection. How many weeks are we in now? I expressed every part of my life to you. My mum doesn’t even know some of things I’ve told you.
‘I have got nothing from you. I’ve gotten sweet FA’.
When asked if he would leave or stay, Billy said leave – and Sierah also chose leave.
Upon parting Billy called Sierah a ‘beautiful person inside and out’ but said that could not reach her and make a connection.
Sierah said that she now wished they could stay, and that she regretted writing leave, because they had finally opened up the lines of communication.
‘Hearing him out, I was treating him like the enemy. I could have tried harder. I was just so inside myself. I actually feel awful’ she said.
Billy however was steadfast and said he did not regret his decision – he insisted he wanted to leave, saying that it was too hard to go forward.
‘I don’t regret my decision. I have been open and honest. We could have had these conversations earlier’ he said, but admitted it was now too late and they were over.
