Katie Maloney is speaking out in regard to rumors claiming she’s “feuding” with Ariana Madix.
Days after an online report suggested that the Vanderpump Rules alums were “not doing well working together” at their sandwich shop, Something About Her, and “butting heads” over the business, Katie, 38, slammed the idea as “fan fiction” as she offered an update on her and Ariana, 39, and debuted a new ad.
“It’s complete fan fiction lol. Ariana [and I] are as good as ever,” Katie confirmed to Blonde Hair Black Heart‘s Blake Adam on Instagram. “We were both so confused where all that bs spawned from but I can only come up with it fitting some kind of bias.”
As fans may have seen, an insider had made the claims about Katie and Ariana on Reddit earlier this month.
“Now that Ariana is more focused on [Something About Her], her and Katie have been butting heads because they have different visions, working styles, etc,” they alleged. “Apparently they operate like night and day. Initially I think they thought their differences would [complement] each other but it’s not, it’s just causing resentment. Maybe it would have been different if Ariana was involved from the beginning but Katie is like, ‘Where have you been? We’ve been operating just fine without you and NOW you have all these thoughts and input?!’”
Amid the swirling rumors, Katie shared a new post on her Instagram page, which featured her new commercial with Hellman’s Mayonaise.
“Going undercover is the only way to find out what people really think about my new sandwich with [Hellmann’s Mayonnaise] … and they loved it of course!” she captioned the clip.
Meanwhile, in the video, as she’s seen going undercover at Something About Her, Katie launches her “most perfect creation.”
“Now, let’s see how they react to my secret sauce,” she says as a bottle of mayo is placed on a counter.
“They love my sandwich but they’ll never know my secret,” she declares.
Following the sharing of her new ad, Katie was met with a comment from Ariana, who applauded the cute clip.
“10/10 would watch you do this as a full length feature,” she wrote, along with a series of heart-eyed emojis.
Vanderpump Rules will return to Bravo with an all-new cast for season 12 later this year.
