Married at First Sight groom Tim Gromie’s questionable dating habits are being exposed as women confirm the PE teacher is back on the apps after his stint on the TV show.

One single woman posted a photo of Tim in Melbourne’s ‘Sis is this your man?’ Facebook group after he became season 12’s villain for critiquing bride Katie Johnston as not ‘short and petite’ enough.

The online group – where women post screenshots of men they have met on dating apps to confirm their single status – has 17,000 members.

The woman claimed Tim did not ask her out, but did ask her to come straight to his house.

‘I matched with him and he asked me on a date to his house,’ one single commented on Sunday. ‘He’s not looking for a relationship.’

‘My friend recently went on a date with him in Melbourne,’ another woman penned. ‘He said he looked very different from his pics .

‘He said he was scared the paparazzi would see him, so he had glasses on. Like, REALLY?’

‘I see him on the [dating] apps all the time,’ a third said. ‘I swear it was only recently that I swiped on him.’

After seeing the 38-year-old’s current appearance on MAFS, Melbourne singles believed Tim was using old photos which portrayed him in a more flattering light.

Several women who matched with Tim on Tinder shared the photos online.

in a video shared by the podcast That’s Showbiz, Baby!, host Alexandria Funnell said she had seen Tim on dating apps recently, prompting women to share their stories.

‘Lol I went on a date with him last year, his photos were like ten years old and he looked nothing like them,’ someone wrote.

‘He only wanted [friends with benefits] and I said no and left after 5mins. He didn’t take it too well he unmatched me before I did in the carpark.’

‘I used to see him on there years and years ago! Constantly!’ another added.

‘Same! I said the same thing!!!!’ one said.

‘Omg me too!!! What the f**k,’ said someone else, to which the podcast channel replied: ‘He is a chronic online dating app user.’

‘It’s like he thought he could just swipe Katie away in real life,’ they added.

‘He wasn’t used to having to actually TALK to a human and connect. The exact epitome of what the series opener was referring to when they said how bad the online dating world is these days.’

Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed back in August that a groom had landed himself in hot water with the show’s producers after he was caught secretly messaging former MAFS contestants for advice behind his partner’s back.

Eden Harper, who appeared on last year’s series, revealed Tim had sent her a message back in August when honeymoon week was being filmed.

The unprompted text was sent to her at 12.06am on a Sunday.

‘I got this DM during honeymoon week of MAFS 2025 and I just thought it was someone asking for advice. But this is so f***ed up after watching last night,’ she said on TikTok.

Tim’s very late night message, which was littered with typos, read: ‘Hey been so refreshing listening to the interview on Yahoo. I’m on MAFS atm and . Now and so un sure [sic]. Hope to soon soon [sic].’

OnlyFans model Brooke-Emily Simmons also told Daily Mail Australia the controversial groom contacted her on Instagram on January 24, just days before the new season aired.

She revealed the pair had previously chatted on a dating app before Tim reconnected with her recently.

In the messages, Tim told Brooke that he had wanted to ‘meet someone’ on the reality TV show – before asking the adult star if she wanted to catch up ‘for a coffee or a drink’.

Brooke declined the invitation, telling Tim she was ‘so exhausted’ before leaving the door ajar by suggesting ‘maybe Sunday afternoon?’

Married At First Sight continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine and 9Now
