Married At First Sight UK’s Ella Morgan has shared a defiant message to anti trans trolls as she opened up about her own transition.
The reality star, 30, took to Instagram with a slew of throwback snaps and explained that she’d ‘always been a girl’ and now her outside appearance matched how she felt on the inside.
Ella shared snaps of photos as a child, known then as Evan, alongside her supportive family and as a music fan meeting celebs including Rihanna and Alexandra Burke.
Marvelling at the journey she said that while some people would never understand the issue, all she asked was for respect after being ‘born in the wrong body’.
Ella, who became Married at First Sight and Celebs Go Dating’s first ever trans participant, penned in an emotional captioned: ‘A reminder to myself on a day I’m not feeling great, I remember how far I’ve come on this crazy journey called life, I’m so proud of myself and also little Evan,’
‘And that in a world where you can be kind, remember you can also be ANYTHING (anything is possible, don’t give up), be LOVED and be AUTHENTICALLY YOURSELF I’ve always been Ella inside …’.
‘Sometimes I inspire myself, like girl you went through all that & kept going (and always did it with a smile) You had to be that person to become this one’.
She went on: ‘Being transgender is not just a medical transition or about surgery and the way you look. It’s discovering who you are, being brave and strong, living your life authentically,’
‘Loving yourself inside and out, and spreading that love towards other people and accepting one another, no matter the difference ‘.
‘Some people will never get it, or understand. And that’s fine. All I ask for is respect weather you get it or not. I am simply a girl who was born in the wrong body’.
Before adding: ‘My outside now matches how I’ve always felt inside. I didn’t want to become a girl – I AM and have always been a girl’.
The trans activist recently found love with boyfriend Alex James Ali, after sparking up a connection on Celebs Go Dating.
Speaking to the Daily Record last month, Ella gushed about her new romance and admitted her joy at finding ‘the one’ at last.
She said: ‘He’s honestly incredible I can’t say a bad word about him, he’s amazing. I’m just so glad I have found someone after all these years of being single and everything I have gone through.’
When Strictly hunk Bobby Brazier Ella at an awards do earlier this year, there were hopes they may start dating.
But then in September Bobby rebuffed her advances as she appeared to make an attempt to rekindle things at the National Television Awards.
The pair, who were first introduced in May when the 21-year-old, who plays Freddie Slater in Eastenders, was seen locking lips with Ella at the TV Baftas.
And at the raucous afterparty, which was held at the O2’s American Express Lounge, the Ella made a beeline for the actor once again, but this time Bobby was ‘having none of it,’ according to a fellow reveller.
Revealing the ‘cringe’ moment, an onlooker told MailOnline: ‘Ella was keen to show off her dress to Bobby and clearly hoped that sparks would fly again, but Bobby wasn’t interested and gave her the cold shoulder.
‘He was polite, but firmly shut down any suggestion that the pair of them would enjoy another drunken snog.
‘Bobby made his excuses before darting across the room and hiding from Ella.’
Speaking about her dalliance with Bobby, Ella said: ‘We had a nice time, but now I’m putting everything into this. Yes, we’re friendly. Bobby’s a lovely boy and we get on really well. He’s aware I’m doing this show.’
Recently Bobby, the son of television presenter Jeff Brazier and the late Big Brother star Jade Goody, was spotted kissing X Factor star Virginia Hampson, also 21, while in the streets of London however he is believed to be single.
Following last year’s Strictly, in which was a finalist, Bobby was seen out with Ellie Leach, who won the glitter ball. However, sources close to both parties insist they were only ever good friends.
Bobby won the prestigious rising star award at last year’s NTAs and went on to become somewhat of a national treasure while appearing on Strictly.
