Married At First Sight bride Melissa Rawson has shared an emotional video on social media where she opened up about the challenges her family faced while moving to the Gold Coast.
The 35-year-old mother of two posted a heartfelt clip on Instagram, discussing the difficulties they encountered since relocating from Melbourne.
‘We’ve been on the Gold Coast for a week now, and nothing has gone right,’ Melissa began.
‘If I’m not fighting with family, I’m fighting with friends because I don’t answer my phone and can’t communicate and I don’t ask for help.’
Melissa further revealed that flight delays had resulted in her missing a funeral and that her ADHD diagnosis was making it difficult to organise her new Queensland home.
‘I’m feeling emotional and stressed out,’ she told her followers.
Melissa added she had taken her three-year-old twin sons Levi and Tate out of daycare during the move, and they were not adjusting well to it.
‘It’s like they turn three and a switch has been flicked and they whine and scream,’ she continued.
Many of Melissa’s followers took to Instagram to offer her words of support during her difficult time.
‘You’re doing such an amazing job mama. Sending you all of my love,’ one person wrote.
‘I’m so sorry. I can see it’s heartbreaking for you. Sending you hugs,’ a second user added.
The self-described mummy blogger has maintained a strong following years after her appearance on MAFS due to her candid revelations about parenting and unfiltered confessionals.
However, some of her posts have been criticised by online trolls, who are not fans of the down-to-earth approach she takes to posting.
In one candid post, Melissa discussed how painful it was leaving her children at daycare as she returned to work.
‘I have to go back to work full time,’ Melissa sobbed. ‘It’s just so because heartbreaking because they’re just screaming.’
She explained how her heart broke upon hearing one of her sons calling out for her repeatedly.
‘I just left Levi again and he’s screaming for me. Mum, mum, mum. I don’t know what to do.’
The season eight bride shares her two-year-old boys with her husband Bryce Ruthven, who she met on the Channel Nine dating experiment.
Bryce and Melissa’s relationship was easily the most controversial during the explosive eighth season of MAFS in 2021 and Bryce was arguable one of the most divisive grooms.
He was infamously branded as ‘toxic’ after he told his Melissa she wasn’t his ‘type’ on the show and copped huge backlash from fans at the time.
Fortunately, the pair worked things out and in February last year, they legally exchanged vows at a beachside wedding ceremony in Sorrento, Victoria.
