Fans of Dancing with the Stars are up in arms after Joey Graziadei snagged the Season 33 Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy, sparking rumors of a rigged vote. Devotees of the show are adamant that Joey didn’t “deserve the trophy” or even ‘care’ about winning.
Despite the controversy, Joey and his partner celebrated their win, marking him as the first Bachelor to clinch a Mirrorball title. Rugby sensation Ilona Maher took second place, followed by actress Chandler Kinney in third, gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik in fourth, and NFL legend Danny Amendola rounding out the top five.
Disgruntled fans voiced their outrage on social media, with one commenting: “Joey doesn’t even care yet y’all f—ing voted him to win.”
Another expressed their frustration more bluntly: “F—- THIS JOEY SHOULD NOT HAVE WON I HATE ALL OF YOU FOR THIS OUTCOME,” while a third lamented, “Joey didn’t even deserve 2nd. My girls were robbed.”
Fellow DWTS Season 33 contestant Chandler Kinney came close to winning the Mirrorball as she and her partner Brandon Armstrong also made it to the finals. Other competing dance couples in the finals along with Joey Graziadei & Jenna Johnson, and Chandler & Brandon, were also Danny Amendola & Witney Carson, Ilona Maher And Alan Bersten, and Stephen Nedoroscik & Rylee Arnold. Each of their performances was so great that no couple was eliminated in the semi-finals, and all five are moving to the finals.
The Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin star spoke to The Mirror reporter Angelica Cheyenne about making it to the semi-finals on the American Reality TV Awards red carpet on last Monday night. She opened up about the hardest part about competing on the show.
“One of the hardest things is staying true to yourself,” Chandler explained. There’s a lot of outside noise, there’s a lot of opinions, and there’s a lot of pressure.” Some of the “challenges” she faced was “being vulnerable” among other things.
She continued: “I think one of the best challenges is being vulnerable and showing people who you really are and what you’re really about and bearing your heart. It’s a really brave thing, I have so much respect for anyone that has dared to step on that ballroom floor it’s very exposing.”
