Michelle is getting cold feet on her wedding day!

In PEOPLE’s exclusive sneak peek at the Oct. 29 episode of Married at First Sight, Michelle discusses her hesitations about continuing her relationship with David.

“[I see] why we’ve been paired. I see the similarities and I do see that,” she explains. “Now, I’m thinking, it’s like, there’s small things that I’m getting a little bit stuck on in my head, that I’m like I don’t even want to say them out loud. You know what I mean?”

“I’m like, okay, you told yourself you’re gonna be open, continue doing that,” she adds.

When she is asked if she feels the relationship has “some legs” to it, Michelle responds, “Um, yeah, no, I definitely think that. I think I am f—ed.”

While she admits David is “very excited” about moving forward with their marriage, she admits, “I’m being hesitant.”

“A lot of stuff has been thrown at you today,” her friend reminds her and Michelle says, “Yeah, it’s a lot” as she wipes away tears.

She realizes that she doesn’t want to be seen doubting the relationship during the reception and whispers, “I don’t want his family to see me.”

“It’s ok,” her friend responds. “Do you want to go to the bathroom?”

Last month, PEOPLE exclusively shared that the 18th season of Married at First Sight would chronicle 10 Chicago-based singles willing to put love to the ultimate test by marrying a complete stranger. After meeting their spouse for the first time at the altar, embarking on their honeymoon and moving in together, the couples must decide after eight weeks whether they’re in their marriage for the long haul or if divorce is the best route.

While twists and turns are commonplace on Married at First Sight, season 18 promises even more drama. According to a synopsis from Lifetime, an unprecedented cheating scandal will lead to a couple swap, “which is sure to leave viewers speechless.”

Married at First Sight — produced by Kinetic Content — airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
