Married At First Sight star Arthur Poremba has revealed what is really like filming the hit Channel 4 dating show after he became known for the ‘cringiest line ever’.

The London tennis coach, 35, married Laura Vaughn during last years series of the show- despite Laura, 35, hoping for her dream ‘Chelsea boy’.

However the pair split when the Hampshire-born finance manager dumped Arthur during the vow renewal episode.

Yet despite it being a year since the pair appeared on the show, Arthur has revealed he still gets approached by viewers who won’t let him forget how he dropped the L bomb during the ‘cringiest’ wedding vows.

Speaking to The Sun Arthur explained that he took the vows from the internet and didn’t even think about them before adding the ‘I love you’ part himself.

‘It’s mad whenever I’m on the tube or bus, people yell that at me or shout “I love you” because of the wedding vow. Oh my god, Jesus Christ, it’s so embarrassing.

‘I did deserve it. I took my vows from the internet but I didn’t have much time to prepare because I was moving out of my place….It was all nonsense.’

Arthur and Laura’s relationship came to an end after she dumped him at the vow renewal ceremony.

At the time Arthur revealed it came as a complete shock to him, but the night before she had sent him a cryptic text hinting she may dump him.

‘The night before the vow renewal she messaged me saying, “Whatever happens tomorrow I want you to know I’ll always try to look after both of us”.’

Looking back Arthur confessed he realises now that was a sign she was trying to warn him.

Despite not finding love, Arthur has no regrets on taking part in the show especially due to the money you receive.

The reality star explained they pay you whatever you would have been paid at work, within reason, with the maximum being around £1,200 to £1,300 a week.

On top of your salary everything on the show is paid for and you get to stay in a beautiful apartment for free.

The show takes contestants on a emotional rollercoaster and Arthur admitted he found the commitment ceremonies the hardest scenes to film.

He explained it is a long day of filming, usually going from 7am until midnight and Arthur struggled with his anxiety having to sit for up to six hours waiting to be called up next as he described it as ‘the most nerve-wracking part of the show.’

While the dinner parties can get a bit wild, Arthur explained there are booze limits and producers would approach castmates who had too much to drink to tell them to stop.

Yet he still managed to get drunk and said he would often wake up the next day with an awful headache.

He didn’t find love on the show, but Arthur isn’t short of attention on the outside as he revealed he gets bombarded with pictures from women.

Earlier this year he was linked to another MAFs star, Blackburn wedding planner Amy Kenyon who is currently on TV screens in this year’s series alongside husband Luke Debono.

He explained the pair had a one-night thing after they had been talking for while and then she went quiet.

The reality star didn’t know that when she cut contact it was because she was filming for MAFS.

Yet he revealed he doesn’t want anymore flings and wants to settle down now.
