Katie Maloney has decided to let fans in on a major recent revelation in her love life — on the same day as her ex-husband’s birthday.

During the Oct. 16 episode of her podcast Disrespectfully, which she hosts with her former Vanderpump Rules costar Dayna Kathan, Maloney, 37, was asked by Kathan, 34, “Do you have any life updates that you would like to share?”

Candidly, the Vanderpump Rules star responded, “I’ll share. So, I have a boyfriend. Yeah, I’m in love.”

Although Maloney remained mum on specifics, including her new boyfriend’s name, she shared that he travels often for work and that “he just makes me feel really special, and he’s really special.”

“I’m just really, really happy,” she added of the newfound romance.

Kathan didn’t inquire much beyond her initial ask, but replied to Maloney, “He’s very lovely,” to which the latter added, “He’s the most wonderful person I’ve ever met.”

The only other details Maloney shared on her new partner are about a trip they took together, with the star noting, “I went to go meet up with him, hang out with him, and spend some time [together]. And it was really amazing because I hadn’t seen him in a few weeks, and just being able to spend some quality time and just be around him was just really necessary. I had a really good time.”

Maloney did not specify when the trip took place or where the couple visited.

The reveal came on the same day as Maloney’s ex-husband, Tom Schwartz’s birthday. Although Schwartz, 42, did not share a post to his Instagram feed in honor of his big day, he did post on Oct. 11, that he planned to celebrate at Los Angeles cocktail bar Schwarz & Sandy’s on Oct. 12, four days before his actual birthday.

Maloney and Schwartz first started dating in 2011, and after five years together, they married in 2016. But in 2022, Maloney filed for divorce from Schwartz, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Despite their split, Schwartz has called the couple “some of the best divorcees ever,” citing their “incredible friendship” and lack of tension.

Schwartz doubled down on that claim once again in 2024, telling PEOPLE that he and Maloney “are in a really good place,” two years removed from their divorce. “I feel like we’ve been through some rough moments in our post-divorce relationship. I feel like we always handle it with decorum — for the most part.”

Maloney also noted to PEOPLE at the time that she was “ready to meet someone if they came along.”
