MARRIED At First Sight groom Ryan Livesey tonight opened up about his cancer battle.

The latest episode saw former semi-professional footballer turned binman Ryan marry Glasgow make-up artist Sionainn

Before meeting his bride, the Manchester lad opened up about his previous devastating health battle.

Ryan was diagnosed with having bladder cancer in 2017.

But tonight he revealed the toll his diagnosis took on him and his family.

Speaking candidly he told viewers that his cancer “could come back”, and it’s just “something he has to live with”.

The handsome groom now raises awareness of the disease through campaign work.

Later in the episode, Ryan also revealed how his cancer diagnosis had previously come in the way of a past relationship.

He said he hoped his new bride wouldn’t be “put off” by his health battle.

Meanwhile, Ryan’s wedding to hairdresser Sionainn didn’t get off to the best start tonight.

After arriving at the altar, she turned to her family and friends and asked: “What am I doing, guys?”

She then said: “I’m feeling dead overwhelmed. I’m scared and want to run away.

“I feel like this is a massive mistake.”

Ahead of her appearance on the show, Sionainn described her best qualities as her “kindness” and her “sense of humour”.

She told Channel 4: “I would make the perfect wife because I’m funny, I can make a joke about anything.

“If you’re sad I’m going to make you laugh and that’s all you need.”

However, Sionainn did make a rather startling confession.

She said: “Something I do that my husband might not like is I still suck my thumb. Pushing 30 and I still suck my thumb.”
