The Real Housewives of New Jersey has definitely experienced some issues lately, with a massive divide between the housewives. And while it has been confirmed that there will be a shakeup before a new season is even conceived, that is not stopping the drama. This time, Gia Giudice has some thoughts about the cast of RHONJ and the way they come for her and her mother, Teresa.
Gia has basically grown up before our eyes on RHONJ, and that means that even though she is in her early 20s, many people still see her as a child. So when she jumped into the fray during the mess that is/was Season 14, a few of the housewives had things to say, including calling her a child.
According to Reality Tea, Gia Giudice has decided to call out the other housewives on RHONJ for what she believes to be a form of jealousy. Specifically, she opened up about her thoughts regarding the cast continually referring to her as a child.
During an appearance on Teresa Giudice’s podcast, Gia opened about the way the other housewives talk about her and her involvement in the drama.
“I think [people] just refer to me as that because they still picture me as like the 8-year-old that was like on the Real Housewives in New Jersey. Obviously, that’s not the case. I’ve now graduated from college, I’m two years out of college. I’m working. I’m very much an adult. But the people who also say that about me are just, they’re very insecure and jealous. And they’re jealous because they don’t have somebody like me on their side.”
We can’t help but agree a bit with Gia in terms of how she is perceived because so many of these people have watched her grow up. And it can be hard to see a child, especially one in your own family (in terms of the Gorgas), as an adult when you have been part of their lives for a long time.
However, there is no denying that Gia is not a child. And the way that people refer to her as one is actually quite demeaning and rude. You may not want her involved in the drama, but that doesn’t mean that she is a “child” who needs to stay out of the grown-ups’ business.
Whether or not we agree with the jealousy angle or not, it is definitely clear that many of the RHONJ cast see Gia as a child, which is not the case anymore. And it is time for them to realize that she is an adult and she can have an opinion on what is happening to her family.
What do you think about Gia Giudice’s reaction to being called a child? Do you agree with her and what she had to say?
