Teresa Giudice shared a photo of her daughter Milania in her new dorm room at the University of Tampa, and she addressed what it was like “leaving” her as her Real Housewives of New Jersey castmates reacted.

When the show first started, Milania was a three-year-old child. Throughout the seasons, audiences watched her grow up and face the hardship of her parents’ prison sentences.

In an August 26 Instagram post, Teresa shared a photo of a smiling Milania in her new dorm room at the University of Tampa. On the walls above her bed were three Chanel posters and a neon sign of her name.

“And she’s off,” wrote Teresa in the caption. “Leaving you this morning; I know you will do amazing things and make Mommy so proud at the University of Tampa. Today is the start of a new, exciting chapter.”

She ended the post, “I love you so much and can’t wait to watch everything you accomplish over these next four years.”

Teresa also uploaded videos of Milania embracing Teresa and her stepdad Luis Ruelas perhaps for the last time before they left.

The final video showed Milania waving goodbye near the elevators of her dorm.

Teresa’s castmate Jackie Goldschneider reacted in the comments: “Congrats Milania!”

“Good luck Milania!!!” added Dolores Catania.

Milania herself responded: “I love u mommy I miss you already.”

On a past episode of her mom’s Namaste B$tches podcast on PodcastOne, Milania defended her stepdad Luis amid fan hate, calling him a “great stepfather.”

“Luis is so amazing, and that’s what everyone doesn’t know,” she said at the time. “Like come on. You guys know [my dad] Joe … You think he’s gonna let anybody around his girls?”

She also explained that Teresa and her ex-husband have a “good relationship.”

“They call each other. They act like siblings honestly. You guys act like little kids together,” she said. “He’s like, ‘Tre, you really gotta call me right now? I’m working … You always gotta bother me. I got like four little “Tres” now. Leave me alone.’ That’s what he says all the time … ‘You turned my daughters into little “Tres.”‘”

“They’re still best friends,” she added. “And you know, Luis loves my dad. They talk on the phone too.”
