Jessika Power has taken to social media to provide a mental health update after she was trolled when asking for donation’s to fund her late father’s funeral.

The Married At First Sight bride, 31, revealed the shock news of her dad’s death earlier this month.

On Friday, Jessika posted a clip to Instagram in which she thanked her fans for their support and revealed what her coping strategies were.

‘I’m getting messages asking how I am, which I appreciate. I’m staying in my childhood home – father’s house – which has been hard, but comforting,’ she began.

‘We grew up here and are surrounded by his things, which is helping.’

Jessika then added the ongoing media coverage surrounding her father’s funeral was having a negative effect on her mental health and has decided to keep his funeral details private.

‘I know I’m a public figure, but I need this to be private,’ she said.

‘I’m not going to be sharing anything on the day, like where it is or the date. I’m not in the right headspace at the moment, funerals are devastating but they bring the family back together.’

Earlier this month, Jessika came under fire from her fans after her family called for donations to help with the costs of her father’s funeral.

The reality star posted to Instagram Stories to announce the heartbreaking news of her father’s death in an emotional post.

Her brother Rhyce Power, who also briefly appeared on MAFS, then posted to his own Instagram to announce that a GoFundMe page had been set up to assist in paying for the funeral.

Some people were not impressed, with several trolls leaving angry comments on Jessika’s most recent Instagram photos, which show her partying in Cannes, France, last month.

Many pointed out that both Jessika and her brother appear to make a decent living on adult content sites.

‘Sorry for your loss, but at what point do you and your brother think it’s okay to promote a GoFundMe when there are people who literally have no homes or food to eat and you two always brag about the money you make?’ one person wrote.

The former reality television bride recently shared the sad news of her father’s passing – She posted a photo to Instagram showing her sitting on her father’s lap, embracing him tightly with a warm and loving smile.

Jessika’s brother Rhyce then wrote on Instagram: ‘Hey guys doing a go fund me page for my dad who just passed away and small donation for the funeral will help’.

‘Unfortunately we have been left without a funeral plan as it was so unexpected, and we would greatly appreciate some assistance to help pay for his funeral, and other associated costs,’ the page said.

The call for donations comes after Jessika previously claimed she makes as much as $110,000 per month through her adult content work.
