Andy Cohen Responds To Backlash For Not Having A Rhonj Reunion, Shades Cast As Group That Doesn’T Take “Accountability,” Plus Fan Calls Dolores A “Tre-Hugger”

Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey has come to an end, and many fans are unsatisfied with the non-reunion reunion. Because of this, some people have called out Andy Cohen himself because they feel that there should have been a regular reunion instead of the watch party the network aired. Now, Andy is responding to the critics and throwing shade at the cast.

As fans know, it was announced weeks ago that there would not be a reunion for this season because of how divided the ladies are. What producers ultimately decided to do was divide the cast into two groups and have them watch the finale from a steakhouse in New Jersey. People felt this was anticlimactic and compared it to the Bravo Aftershows the network does for its shows.

According to Decider, Andy discussed the watch party on his radio show, and he even took calls to allow fans to give their opinions on what aired. One caller said, “I do [think you dropped the ball]. I think you should’ve had a regular reunion because there’s no accountability. Teresa doesn’t have to take accountability for what she has done, no apology to Margaret. I think Dolores, we’ve now found out that she really is truly a ‘Tre-hugger.’”

The caller continued, “I think if you look at all the social media sites and everything, everyone is coming at you that there should’ve been a reunion — a regular reunion.

Andy then responded to the caller, “Do you think that people in this group are gonna take accountability? Who in this group do you envision taking accountability?”

To this, the caller told Andy that his line of questioning could have forced the cast to take accountability for their actions and have some sort of resolution.

Andy then said, “I don’t think so. But I appreciate it. This is not a group that takes accountability but, you know, onward … I didn’t see that the online chatter is that I dropped the ball.”

The bravo.then.vs.now Instagram also chimed in on feeling let down by the non-reunion reunion and season 14 as a whole. They posted a photo with a caption that reads, “Whoever has been running this sh*t show on the production side of things needs to GO! That viewing party is the stupidest thing I [have] ever watched on Bravo & this is the same network that has broadcasted Tom Sandoval performing on stage 😬 This entire season was a complete waste of time, onward & upwards, please. But that’s just my opinion…🤷‍♀️😑”

It’s unclear why the network decided against doing a traditional reunion. Sure, things were divided, and there was a fight in the finale, but other shows have had massive drama and still had reunions. Even if they had to do the watch party, it could have been better if producers still asked the ladies questions instead of simply having them watch the same show fans had seen the week before. It’s anyone’s guess as to how the show will move forward and when production will begin.
