The Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 crew has endured a lot this season, and the drama is not over yet: Captain Sandy Yawn is hiring a brand-new crew member to help Aesha Scott with the remaining charters. Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 has been full of ups and downs, from a love triangle between Elena Dubaich, Bri Muller, and Joe Bradley, to Chef Johnathan Shillingford claiming to be a world-class chef but producing disappointing meals for guests. The Below Deck Mediterranean crew had been down a stew due to a leak in a room that the Mustique was experiencing.

Below Deck Med season 9 revealed that the brand-new interior crew member is Carrie O’Neill from Glasgow, Scotland.

Below Deck posted a “still to come” video for Below Deck Mediterranean season 9, in which Captain Sandy asks Chief Stew Aesha if she would like to have another stew aboard for help, which makes Aesha extremely happy. Now The Daily Dish has revealed that the brand-new interior crew member is Carrie O’Neill, from Glasgow, Scotland, who is ready to get to work.

Carrie is going to cause quite a stir among the crew of the Mustique, according to the preview, when Joe sets his eyes on the new stew, potentially causing the love triangle to become a love quadrangle.

Is Carrie O’Neill Replacing A Fired Below Deck Med Star?
How Carrie Could Be More Trouble Than Help

“How would you feel if we brought in another stew?” Captain Sandy asks Aesha, who is seen jumping up and down with happiness. It is no secret that Aesha and the interior crew have been struggling to keep up with the demands of each charter, especially when the second and third stews are fighting over another crew member. So when Captain Sandy asks Aesha if she would like some help, it is not surprising that Aesha is overcome with excitement at the prospect of gaining more help. This seems to indicate Carrie will be a fourth stew instead of replacing a current cast member.

Rumors have been circulating in the greater Bravo universe about potential producer interference and manipulation of the Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 crew. There has been speculation that the show’s producers are behind the drama and the love triangle, but no matter who is behind it, the drama is about to get worse. Carrie says about herself, “My friends would tell you I’m a flirt. I’m a pathological flirt.” In the “still to come” video, Joe is seen saying, “I already have two; I’m not after another one,” which means Joe is definitely going to be interested in Carrie.

There have been many calls to fire both Bri and Elena for their inability to be even professionally respectful to each other, which has caused many issues when it comes to getting their jobs done. Captain Sandy had even warned both of the stews that if they could not get along with each other while working, she would have to fire them both. This would be a hard blow for the interior crew, but stews are replaceable, and it would not be the first time a chief stew had to get through a charter without a crew member.

The addition of Carrie to the interior crew could be a great move to help Aesha take care of both the guests and the yacht’s interior. However, if Carrie also falls for Joe’s charm, this could be a disaster that blows up in Captain Sandy and Aesha’s faces. Captain Sandy also has her hands full with an exterior cast member and a chef who, in the preview video, serves a guest food that could potentially have killed her. Tensions are already high and rising between the crew members on the Mustique, and something is going to have to give.
