The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, July 26, take a break from all the mental breakdowns and challenges to check in on Traci and her new friend, Alan. But don’t worry—back in Genoa City, Victor is still whipping out the advice.
One Plus One
Traci (Beth Maitland) first came to Paris to help Ashley (Eileen Davidson) figure out what was going on inside her head. That led to learning she’d been manipulated by the evil Martin. Then Martin died, Ashley got carted off to the looney bin (French edition), but Traci connected with Martin’s allegedly not evil twin, Alan (Christopher Cousins).
Now, they’re taking in the sites of Paris, sharing confidences, and periodically locking lips. Could this turn into something meaningful? Something that would make the convoluted, both endless and rushed storyline, feel worth the trouble? (Will it all end up being a fakeout?)
Oh, Wise One
Devon (Bryton James) asked Abby (Melissa Ordway) to marry him. This isn’t his first marriage. But it is his first proposal to a Daughter of Victor. (It’s like being a Daughter of Zeus. Only, you know, more prestigious.)
This means, unlike with his previous relationships, it is imperative that Devon seek Victor’s permission…er, a blessing. Victor magnanimously offers both. Along with business advice, nobody asked for.
Turf War
Summer (Allison Lanier) never legally adopted Harrison (Redding Munsell — who recently channeled this co-star). But considering that Kyle (Michael Mealor) had the boy call her Mommy — likely as a way to stick it to Tara; Kyle never does think consequences through — then Summer has every right to think of Harrison as her son…and to sue Kyle for custody, now that he’s acting like a complete idiot, both personally and professionally.
Kyle thinks his biological ties will trump anything Summer or her attorney can come up with. But he had no idea that Summer has an ace up her sleeve.
