Married At First Sight’s Michael Brunelli captured his ’emotional’ reaction moments before fiancée Martha Kalifatidis underwent breast surgery this week.
The Season 6 dad, 33, joked that he was “saying goodbye to my two best friends” in a video posted to Instagram.
In the video, Martha, 35, is dressed in a hospital gown as she prepared for what appeared to be an explant procedure for the removal her current breast implants.
With Céline Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’ playing in the background, Michael jokingly gestured to her breasts writing: “I’ll never forget you both”.
He later added in the comments: “Can’t believe I didn’t write ‘two breast friends’ 🤦🏽♂️”
While Michael didn’t confirm the exact surgery Martha was having, he was able to reveal that the mum-of-one was recovering well.
“She’s all good! 💙” Michael replied to one concerned fan. “She’s doing well, I’m sure she’ll post all about it soon 💙.”
Meanwhile, Season 5 star Sarah Roza rushed to the comments to send her well wishes: “Ohhh @mbrunelli 😂Speedy recovery to you @marthaa__k xx ❤️❤️.”
Martha first sparked the idea of getting her breast implants removed back in 2021.
Speaking on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, the star explained she’s had them in for so long now, and things can start to go wrong with the implants.
“When you have them in for over 10 years, you have to get them out and you can get them re-put in. Get new ones put in,” she said.
“All sorts of things can happen. Mine have been in over 10 years, so it’s definitely time for me to have them either re-done or taken out. I just figured I’m just gonna get them taken out,” Martha said.
Jackie O questioned the reality star on how big they were before the surgery.
“I was like a full B, maybe a humble C,” Martha said relating to her cup size.
“That’s good. That’s a good size,” Jackie responded.
Martha first sparked the idea during an Instagram Q&A that same year, when a 20-year-old follower asked her how old she was when she got them.
“I was probably your age,” Martha replied, before offering some advice to fans who are considering getting the procedure.
“My advice is to wait until you’re a bit older, then make the decision,” Martha replied. “Never make a decision about surgery if you have doubts [or] are unsure.”
During the radio interview, the former bride finished by saying she was leaning towards getting them removed, taking future baby plans into consideration.
Fast forward three years later and Martha and Michael now have a one-year-old tot named Lucius.
