Things are “not great” between Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley as the former friends continue to film the upcoming 14th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
During an interview on Thursday, following a number of clearly tense moments between her and Dorit, 47, one of which featured tears, Kyle, 55, admitted that friendships have changed amid production, specifically mentioning both Dorit and Sutton Stracke, 52.
“The dynamics have shifted tremendously this year,” Kyle told Us Weekly on June 20, confirming that her and Dorit’s relationship is “not great.”
Following their season 13 falling out, Kyle said she and Dorit “should be” supporting each other amid their separations from Mauricio Umansky, 53, and Paul “PK” Kemsley, 57, respectively.
“Unfortunately, that’s not where we’re at right now in our relationship,” she said. “We’re both going through different but similar situations. So, it is unfortunate that we’re in this position.”
Regarding the additions of Jennifer Tilly, 65, and Bozoma Saint John, 47, to the cast, Kyle said the ladies have created “a very interesting group.”
“We’re just sort of starting out,” Kyle noted. “Like I said, the dynamics have shifted, but they’re constantly shifting and changing. So, we’ll see where we end up.”
As for her older sister, Kathy Hilton, 65, Kyle said, “She is off to the races,” after returning to the show in a friend role, adding that she’s been “very supportive” off camera and “funny” on camera.
“She tries to keep the light. Her main goal right now, because of what I’ve been going through, is to try to make me laugh,” Kyle revealed.
As RHOBH fans may have seen, Kyle also opened up about Bozoma and the dynamics of season 14 earlier this month during an appearance on Amazon Live.
“Obviously, it’s new, and we just started, but she’s great. She’s been great. She’s great for the show, and I think you’re all going to really like her a lot. She’s extra fabulous for sure,” Kyle teased.
As for the rest of the cast, Kyle said she couldn’t say too much about which co-stars were at odds.
“I think I have to keep that a secret. I mean, I don’t know. A lot of things have changed. For the most part, I get along with the majority, but there are definitely some issues,” she confirmed. “There are just some people that are not jiving together. Not doing well together.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
