Married At First Sight lovebirds Jono McCullough and Ellie Dix are currently on a road trip around Australia.
However on Sunday, Jono, 39, revealed the pair had hit a snag after their car began malfunction.
Jono, who splashed out on a luxury caravan with his ladylove in May, revealed that the four-wheel-drive had to be towed from Albany to Perth due to an oil leak.
‘We ran into a wee bit of trouble, something to do with no oil in the engine due to a massive leak but two tow trucks later we arrived in Perth,’ he said in a short clip.
‘We got a hire car… everything’s okay, it’ll be alright’ he added.
‘Yep, we are having some car troubles. And even more trouble getting someone to have a look at my car (which is pretty much new and under warranty),’ he captioned the post.
‘So got the car and caravan towed from Albany to Perth hoping for a better chance for someone to take a look at it: But this is life and things could be a lot worse. We have had an awesome time in Perth catching up with friends cruising around in our epic hire car,’ he continued.
Ellie first shared the road-trip plans to Instagram in May, telling Instagram followers that the pair had also enjoyed a reunion with MAFS co-star Timothy Smith.
The couple met Timothy in the country town of Casino in northern NSW where the controversial groom had just bought a light single-engine plane.
She shared that Tim will be joining the couple for part of their road trip.
Ellie posted a video of their plush new caravan as well as several pictures featuring highlights of their road trip so far.
‘On Monday, Jono & I picked up our home,’ Ellie posted.
‘And for the next couple of months we are making our way around Australia ‘We met Tim in Casino NSW where he picked up a plane he purchased off Marketplace (along with a pair of RM Williams).
‘And we are both heading south, one towing a caravan and the other a plane, until Tim heads back to Melbourne to get his (legitimate) pilots licence.’
Jono and Ellie have since travelled through New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
