Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Jack (Peter Bergman) wanted to tell Diane about Phyllis. Michael (Christian Le Blanc) insisted that they couldn’t tell her. Kyle also wanted to tell Summer (Allison Lanier). Daniel (Michael Graziadei) agreed with Michael.

Diane (Susan Walters) walked in and wondered if there was news she should know. Jack played it off like they were brainstorming, but Diane couldn’t see how Daniel fit in. She gave him her heartfelt condolences, and Daniel told her she wasn’t going to prison. Diane wondered why he sounded so certain.

Daniel blamed it on Jeremy, and Diane couldn’t believe that he believed her. She asked him to swear a statement, but Michael said they’d keep it in their back pocket. Diane left with renewed hope, and Kyle still wanted to tell his mom the truth, but again Michael insisted they shouldn’t.

They wanted to know what bodies were used for the dead people in the ambulance wreck. Nobody knew, though. They argued back and forth about telling Summer and Diane, but Michael and Daniel continued to insist that they keep the secret.

Michael and Daniel left, and Kyle said he knew how it felt to believe your mother was dead. He did not want to keep the secret. Jack agreed it was frustrating, but he urged Kyle to wait until they had all the pieces in place. He begged Kyle to wait until he’d seen Christine, and Kyle didn’t want to, but he reluctantly agreed.

Jack sat at Society, and he got a text that Christine was running late. Jack got a notification, and it was a photo of a day he and Phyllis were together. “Hello, Jack,” Victor (Eric Braeden) said. “You look as if you just saw a ghost.”
Diane and Kyle talked, and she said she’d been praying for a miracle that it would all go away. She wanted to plan a family vacation. “You can’t make this go away, Mom, but I can,” Kyle said. “There’s something you need to know.”
