The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has revealed if she wants her sister Kathy Hilton to return to the show. After a very rocky end to RHOBH season 12 and an explosive reunion episode, the two have had a bit of a strained relationship. Kyle has been a mainstay of the show since its inception, and Kathy has only just joined the show, making a few appearances during the last two seasons.
Kyle opened up to E! News about how she feels about Kathy’s potential return to the show. “Of course” she wants her to return, she said, adding, “She’s my sister. I miss her.”
The reality star also shared, “We’ve had issues, and we come back together. We’re sisters, family is complicated. It’s a work in progress.” At the end of the day, Kyle and Kathy are family. Despite some drama that occurred when the RHOBH cast was in Aspen last season, their dynamic on the show is entertaining for viewers, and it adds more depth to the relationships between all the cast members.
Kyle Richards Claims RHOBH Season 13 Will “Not Disappoint”
Since Kathy hasn’t officially announced if she will be returning to RHOBH, it’s up in the air what will happen next for the sisters, at least on-screen. Up until their tumultuous encounters on the show, it seems the sisters had a strong relationship. As for RHOBH season 13, Kyle said, “I will tell you it will not disappoint.” She continued, “It’s been a very different season for me personally than any other and it’s been very, very interesting.” Since sharing that it will be “different,” Kyle did clarify, “Of course, there’s a lot of drama. I think the audience is going to be very excited.”
While The Real Housewives franchise as a whole is known for its drama between the women, it could all be for show, but it also could affect the very real relationships that some of the women have with each other outside the show. Even though some of the drama may be manufactured and curated by producers, it doesn’t mean it has no effect on the women going through it. However, the franchise is built on the cattiness that comes out in some of the women or in certain scenarios.
As for Kyle and Kathy’s feud, a sisterly bond comes with many layers. It has its fair share of complications, but at the end of the day, it’s difficult to break. While their time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills hasn’t necessarily strengthened the bond that they share, it’s unlikely to be broken. The two sisters both have admitted to missing each other and the kind of relationship they shared before. Hopefully, Kyle and Kathy won’t have to mourn a good relationship much longer and can put some things behind them in the past. They can move forward on the show together, as well as in real life.
