Married At First Sight Australia has been brimming with drama this year, with many couples struggling to make it to the final vows. But what have Lucinda and Timothy been up to since leaving the show?
While Aussie viewers have already enjoyed the explosive MAFS 2024 season finale, it has yet to air for UK audiences, one thing we know is that Lucinda Light channelled her positive energy and aura to make sure she and groom Timothy Smith didn’t leave on a sour note.
We saw as Lucinda battle to get Timothy to open up, and while he had his struggles, the pair didn’t let their breakup get in between their friendship – despite there being rumours of Timothy dating another MAFS bride.
The pair have taken to social media since filming ended to share where they both stand, and it’s clear they have formed a heartwarming friendship, regularly posting snaps together and hanging out. In one sweet post, Lucinda reflected on her time and shared the sweet message to Timothy.
She said: “Dear Timbo, That’s a wrap! What a blast! What I adore most about you Tim is your ability to bring laughter to those around you, even amidst your own pain and loss. Your bravery throughout our time together has been awesome! You opened up your vulnerable side, showing men everywhere that it’s not okay to bottle it up! Despite your ‘Tin Man’ facade, I see the enormous heart you carry.
“I’m incredibly proud of you, and I’m sure your mum Varee and brother Dave would be too, looking down on you from up above. You’ve shown true courage and authenticity & you’re a legend. Too many men suffer in silence, and it’s time we changed that paradigm. We need to celebrate men who are open-hearted and willing to show their emotions. That’s the new SEXY!”
She added: “I’ve witnessed you take tremendous strides in our journey together, and I hope you continue on your path of healing. True redemption and inner peace come from letting go, forgiving, and allowing love to flow freely. I believe in you, Timbo, and I know that a wonderful woman awaits you for a joyous journey ahead. Here whenever you need an ear.”
Lucinda shared another photo of the pair recently, and cheekily wrote: “Caught up with this divine hunk of spunk recently in Sydney! Tim & I proceeded to ping pong back and forth our usual p***k/b***h dialogue as recent divorcees! Love ya Timbo!”
Meanwhile, Timothy kept it short and sweet and penned: “Turns out Friends at First Sight is even better when you have a friendship like ours.”
The pair have kept in touch with their fellow MAFS co-stars, posting photos with them all and reflecting on their time together. There have also been dating rumours between Andrea and Timothy, but the pair have denied any sort of romance and stated they are “just friends” – despite Tim posting a photo sat with Andrea and her daughter.
Despite this, fans have pleaded for Timothy and Lucinda to rekindle their romance as they were a firm favourite on the show. But the pair have made it clear they’re just friends who often check in on each other. In a recent interview with 9Now, Timothy said: “We still stay in touch regularly, every couple of days she’ll shoot me a message and we’ll talk on the phone.”
While Lucinda added: “It’s a beautiful friendship we’ve got, we both feel really blessed. Tim feels like family… I’ve got a very special friendship in Tim.”
