Lucas Adams finally plucked up the courage to share his true feelings with Simone Griffin in this week’s edition of Grey’s Anatomy.
With Simone and Trey primed for marriage, Lucas walked in on Simone as she tried on her wedding dress. There was of course a palpable tenseness between them, having hooked up earlier in the series.
Their roommate Mika then very nearly referred to Lucas as the groom, correcting himself by saying: “It’s bad luck for the bride to see the roommate before the wedding…”
Desperate for Simone to reconsider her and Trey’s looming big day, Lucas went on to tell her: “Don’t get married. I see you… and I love every single thing that I see.”
Where do they go from here?
Elsewhere on the ward, patient Sam Sutton continued pursuing Jo Wilson, after flirting with her in last week’s episode. Sam has fractured over 70 bones in his body and is recovering at the hospital after life-saving surgery.
Ironically, he asked Atticus ‘Link’ Lincoln whether or not the doctor with “Disney princess eyes” was genuinely single, suggesting that she might’ve told him that just “because I was dying”.
“She said that?” replied a bruised Link – who, of course, has been processing his own feelings for Jo recently.
This juicy revelation was addressed later on when Link encountered Jo, as he pointed out to her: “Don’t you think it’s a little inappropriate to tell a patient you’re single?”
Despite acknowledging Link’s attempt at “chivalry”, Jo insisted she could handle herself.
But the chemistry between Sam and Jo is still growing, as their bond blossomed right in front of Link’s eyes when he spotted her gently scratching an itch on the injured pilot’s neck.
