Matthew Duliba was a controversial cast member on Love Is Blind season 6, but he still managed to find a girlfriend after starring on one of the best reality TV shows. The 37-year-old senior financial advisor living in Charlotte, North Carolina, seemed socially awkward on Love Is Blind. He appeared to leave the room as Sarah Ann provided an unsatisfactory answer to one of his questions and led on Amber “AD” Desiree Smith and Amber Grant. His nearly exact conversations between the two prompted Amber and Matthew to leave early. Matthew claims Netflix edited his Love Is Blind scenes, but he didn’t look too good in the aftermath.
Matthew acknowledged his tendency to be emotionally guarded in past relationships, viewing his appearance on the show as an opportunity to confront this issue head-on. However, his social awkwardness led to him being misinterpreted in the pods, even leading to Matthew’s label as the worst Love Is Blind contestant. Matthew noted that he seeks an intelligent, caring, considerate, hardworking, and driven partner. While he certainly won’t appear on Love Is Blind season 7, there’s still curiosity about his dating life after the show.
Matthew and AD Dated After Love Is Blind
AD revealed on The Viall Files podcast that she and Matthew briefly dated after the show. At first, Matthew reached out to apologize to AD for his behavior on the show. However, AD thought he was attractive, so they continued the date. She even went to his house for another date, and he cooked her chicken and rice. After some backlash online, AD added that Matthew also cooked side dishes and that his cooking was delicious.
Unfortunately, AD and Matthew split due to lifestyle differences. Matthew addressed online that he lived a sober lifestyle, and AD works in a bar. Additionally, he is a very disciplined and regimented person, whereas AD likes to go more with the flow. It’s amazing that after being led on in the pods by a man who was saying the same things to another woman that AD gave Matthew another chance. However, his looks didn’t hurt.
Matthew Has A New Girlfriend After Love Is Blind
After his Instagram live, Matthew revealed he had a girlfriend after Love Is Blind, and she wasn’t a star on the show. The reveal happened after Matthew posted a Q&A on his Instagram in which a fan asked, “Do you like Spanish/Latin woman?” Matthew responded, “This is Vanesa, my gf. This picture was taken the same day as the reunion. We went to the Charlotte FC soccer game with friends.” Accompanying his response was a picture of a beautiful woman, presumably Vanesa, smiling with Matthew at the game.
Matthew Revealed Why He Didn’t Attend The Love Is Blind Reunion
When Matthew posted the photo of him and Vanesa, he made a point of saying the picture was taken the same day the reunion was filmed. While Nick and Vanessa Lachey said Matthew was invited to the reunion, he “politely declined.” Matthew could have shared his piece, but was afraid of being poorly edited like he was on the show. On his Instagram live, Matthew said, “I didn’t think they could cut and paste sentences. If I would’ve known that, I wouldn’t have done it.” Instead, he spent his time snacking on pistachios and not addressing his relationships with either AD or Amber. It seems Matthew is ready to move on after his time on Love Is Blind.
