MARRIED At First Sight Australia star Cassandra has threatened to quit after four weeks over a lack of intimacy with her husband Tristan.
Viewers slammed the show for matching her with a “spiralling” groom after he stormed off during their row.
Tristan packed his bags and left after telling her: “Whatever, I’m the bad guy right.”
Speaking to the camera, Cassandra, 30, explained: “I go to touch his hand and he moves away.”
“We got home (last night) and no kisses nothing, Tristan spirals, and it just gets worse.
“He’s insecure and i’m so over this, i’m really over this.”
One furious fan tweeted and tagged Married at First Sight: “Tristan doesn’t need a wife, he needs a therapist!”
Another wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Tristan should have worked on his issues before even thinking about applying for the show. Your partner is not there to fix you.”
Another said: “Tristan is spiralling hard,” and one more reacted: “Not OK with the guilt tripping and emotional blackmail from Tristan there.”
Later on in the episode, therapist and relationship expert John Aiken arrived on the scene to help the work through their blocks.
He spoke to Tristan and Cassandra, and said: “So you are thinking, now Cass, where you stand with Tristan?”
“I’m just really struggling he is not affectionate,” she replied.
“I have been so patient I am really over this, I feel like a friend. I don’t feel like we are husband and wife.”
Tristan listend and responded: “The intimacy part is just nerve-wracking.”
John made suggestions on how they could become closer, and todl them: “I think you as a couple would do well with ritual connections.
“Little things, a coffee together. A walk together in the mornings.”
Tristan also apologised to Cassandra, and admitted: “I didn’t realise it was a big deal.”
