The Love Island winner, broke up with boyfriend Sammy over the phone while out partying in Ibiza with friends just weeks after the pair won the ITV2 dating show.

During a Q&A on Instagram on Monday, Jess was asked by a fan if she is still single.

Sharing a selfie, Jess wrote: ‘No’ alongside a heart emoji.

Jess has previously shared short clips of the man in question on her Instagram Stories and has slowly been soft launching her new relationship.

However, she has not tagged him in any photos yet and has been keeping is identity secret.

Commenting on her new fella, one fan replied: ‘He’s not bad looking as it goes. He’s popped up a couple of times on her stories, blink and you’ll miss him.’

Someone else said: ‘Good for her! She deserves a guy that makes her feel gorgeous, because she really is.’

Jess split from boyfriend Sammy Root just two months after scooping the £50,000 Love Island prize.

Last month Sammy spoke about his shock split from Jess, revealing there’s ‘no blame on anyone’.

The former couple decided to go their separate ways after their ‘relationship changed since leaving the villa’.

Sammy, 22, has detailed the struggles they faced after leaving Mallorca and revealed why he’s not looking to get into another relationship anytime soon.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, he said: ‘I think what a lot of people don’t understand is that you are going from a sheltered villa with around 10 people in it, to the whole world in your ear.

‘You receive messages, people talk about you, people make up things and get involved.

He continued: ‘When you come out and you’re trying to work on your own career, all of this put together, it is hard to still have a nice, easy-going relationship and I think sometimes it just affects you a l ittle bit.

‘So yeah, I think that’s where it was, but there’s no blame on anyone.’

When asked if he’s enjoying being single, Sammy responded: ‘I mean, I’m literally just working on myself, trying to better myself, and that’s all I’m really caring about.

‘I’m fresh out of a breakup. I’m not really looking to get into another one or anything, I’m literally just working on my career right now and trying to have a bit of fun in the meantime as well.’

At the time, Sammy shared a lengthy statement where he admitted the relationship had hit the rocks, but that he had been trying to save it, in an apparent swipe against Jess.

Sammy added that he had only discovered that the couple had officially parted ways through the media and was in a ‘total shock.’

He penned: ‘Hi guys. I thought I would come online to address today’s news about me and Jess.

‘Yes we had a private conversation regarding our relationship but this was left up in the air as Jess is still away and we haven’t had a chance to speak in person. For me to then see today via the media that we had officially broken up came as a total shock.

‘To be totally clear – I at least wanted a face to face conversation to see if our relationship could be saved and felt this would be the respectful way forward.

‘We had the most incredible experience winning Love Island and I genuinely saw a future with Jess.

‘I was committed and respectful to our relationship. Unfortunately things don’t always work out the way you’d hoped.’

Despite the bitter ending, he concluded: ‘Despite how this has all played out today, I think Jess is an amazing woman and genuinely wish her all the best.’
