Kyle Richards said it will “take a minute” for her to fully forgive her pal Dorit Kemsley for exposing her “manipulative” text message during the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 13 reunion.
The Bravo star got candid about her rift with her co-star during an Amazon Live video on Thursday, saying she didn’t know until recently that Kemsley revealed her private text message on camera while filming the “RHOBH” reunion in January.
“I did not know at that time that she read my text message, and that was private, and I was really shocked by that,” she said. “She’s someone who I care about and her family. It’s going to take me a minute [to forgive her].”
Richards further admitted that she was “really shocked.”
“Honestly, I was really surprised by that,” she added. “Because in all the years of doing this show — fourteen years there now — I’ve never, ever shared anything that’s been said to me off camera or a text that’s off camera, private.”
“I’m not someone who likes to hold onto any anger or negativity but I do need a minute,” Richards, 55, continued.
“She is my friend, and I care about her and her family a lot, but you don’t do that to your close friend. You just don’t.”
Despite their rift, the Bravolebrity confirmed she’s still friends with Kemsley, 47. However, their relationship is currently “not good.”
“She hurt me, a number of things I didn’t get to say at the reunion,” Richards said.
During this week’s episode, Kemsley showed her “RHOBH” co-star Erika Jayne the “manipulative” text she received from Richards, accusing the “Halloween” star of trying to silence her ahead of filming the reunion.
“She sends me a text yesterday basically trying to silence me,” Kemsley alleged. “It was so manipulative. It w as so calculated.”
Kemsley proceeded to show Jayne the text, with a screenshot reading, “I heard some of the things you said about me off camera that hurt me deeply and I wasn’t even able to say what I heard or who from.”
“I don’t want to lose someone else in my life over a TV show,” the message continued.
Richards also told her pal that her feelings were hurt by the latter’s past interview comments.
However, producers weren’t aware the duo were “even going through a hard time” and the actress didn’t “see the need to bring it up” at the reunion. She said she wanted to sit down and discuss the matter privately.
“Relationships and YOU are more important to me than RHOBH and I don’t feel like ‘bringing it’ for the [sic] at our expense,” Richards continued in her message.
“Especially when we have enough battles to handle as it is,” the mom of four added, seemingly referring to her marital woes with her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, 53.
After not having spoken for a “couple of months,” Kemsley confronted Richards about the text during part one of the reunion Wednesday.
Kemsley told the mom of four that her remarks about their broken relationship “stung.”
“I said that in response to all of the stuff you had been saying throughout the season,” Richards said, adding that she didn’t appreciate Kemsley bringing up her marital issues with Umansky on the show.
Richards also mentioned not appreciating Kemsley’s accusations that she was replaced by her close friend and rumored girlfriend Morgan Wade, 29.
“You knew that by saying something like that, it was going to create a bigger problem for me in the media with the whole Morgan situation,” she said.
However, Kemsley brushed off the “Halloween Kills” star’s concerns, claiming the media already knew about the rumors.
“I know your nature, if I say something that upsets you, you’re a punisher, you’ll shut me out,” Kemsley fired back. “We hadn’t spoken in a couple months and all of the sudden you text me the day before the reunion, do you really think I’m an idiot?”
Part two of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion airs on March 6 at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
