MAYA Jama takes a drag on a funny looking cigarette as she prepares to board an 11-hour flight to London.

The popular Love Island host appeared to puff on the roll-up with her rap icon boyfriend Stormzy outside of Cape Town International Airport in South Africa after finishing her stint hosting the All Stars version of the show.

Onlookers said Maya, 29, and rapper Stormzy, 30, stood to one side before lighting up the suspicious looking cigarette and passing it between them.

They added: “Maya and Stormzy had a smoke before checking into their flight for London.

“She looked like she inhaled it and handed it back to him.

“It didn’t seem like Maya was used to smoking because she started coughing as Stormzy puffed away next to her.

“They went in to departures not long after and were chatting with the check in staff.

“They seemed really in love and were laughing and holding hands as they walked through the airport.”

Maya had just finished a six-week stint hosting the new celebrity spin-off version of the ITV2 show.

Stormzy flew out to be with Maya for the final and the pair were together at an after party thrown for the stars before they flew home.

After a brief touch down in the UK, Maya tonight jetted off to Italy for Milan Fashion Week.

Maya, who has previously been seen puffing a large rolled up cigarette on holiday in Barbados back in 2018, is not known to be a big smoker.

Stormzy has previously spoken about smoking cannabis and said that early on in his music career he would use the Class B drug.

He said in 2022: “I would just stay at home and smoke a lot of weed.

“It was just a feeling, overwhelmingly, of ‘I actually can’t handle this’ which was also a new feeling to me because I was always a very capable child.

“I would break down, it was super heavy.”

Speaking about how it affected his four-year relationship with Maya before they split in 2019, Stormzy added: “It’s so mad, I remember waking up in her house and she’s going to work and doing all of these things.

“I’m in the same room all day [smoking weed], wasteman ting, probably even stinking and ain’t showered and that.

“We’ve only just found this out because we spoke about it but she always used to order food because she didn’t want to put me in that awkward situation of I’ll get the food and I didn’t have dough.”

Last year The Sun revealed how Stormzy had shot a new music video which showed a monkey helping him prepare cannabis to use in a joint.

A label executive told how the video’s directors intended to show the monkey using a “weed grinder” while sitting next to Stormzy on a sofa.

The device is used to break down cannabis into smaller pieces so it can be rolled into a joint.

During the scenes, Stormzy raps: “I’m the black Kate Bush, the mandem don’t talk, they whoosh.

“I don’t jump on a tune and talk about shush.

“I’d rather make cigs and kush all of these fibs you push.”

Following their break up in 2019, Maya and Stormzy got back together in 2022.

The pair went public last year on a £2,700-a-night holiday to Greece with insiders revealing how Stormzy had treated Maya to the elaborate break away to celebrate her birthday.

She will return to TV next month to host ITV1’s Brit Awards alongside Roman Kemp and Clara Amfo.
