The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) might’ve made a big mistake. Y&R fans know Daniel got an unknown call on the May 9 episode, but no one was on the other end when he picked up the phone.
That led to Daniel assuming it was Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) since this person didn’t say anything nor did they hang up.
Daniel started spilling way too much as a result – at least for someone who’s keeping a giant secret and wasn’t absolutely certain of who was on the other end of the line.
What if there was another mystery caller – perhaps someone who got curious when Daniel started talking to his “dead” mother and urging her to come home?
That person might’ve had a motive to stay quiet and see what else Daniel would divulge.
Daniel could’ve been talking to someone else entirely without even realizing it.
If that’s the case, then Daniel has accidentally spilled the beans about Phyllis’ survival.
That could lead to trouble depending on what Daniel’s unknown caller decides to do with the information.
It might be interesting if Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) was calling from an alternate number for some reason.
Could Lucy have been too stunned to say anything before Daniel disconnected?
The same sort of situation could apply to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), especially if they write it like she decides not to confront Daniel until after she returns from her trip in New York.
Then again, Daniel’s secret could’ve fallen into the hands of someone more dangerous instead.
It all depends on who exactly was calling – and there’s no guarantee it was truly Phyllis!
The main thing here is that Daniel made a big assumption and told Phyllis’ secret, so there’s a chance that assumption could backfire on him.
