If there is one thing we know about Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless, it’s that she is a giver. Phyllis gives and she gives and she gives. And no one appreciates it. She especially gives and gives and gives for her children. Who, instead of appreciating her, whine about law and morality and betrayal. Does Phyllis let their ingratitude stop her? Not on your life! Phyllis is going to keep doing what’s best for her children — whether they appreciate it or not. Which is why her next act of motherly devotion will be to throw herself at Chance — all for Summer’s sake.
Phyllis Summers: Listen Closely
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) could only roll her eyes when Summer (Allison Lanier) refused to go after Chance (Conner Floyd), for the silly reason that he was dating Sharon (Sharon Case). (Remember when Sharon confronted Summer?) Why, if Phyllis had let Sharon get in the way of the man Phyllis wanted, Summer would have never been born! And now that Sharon and Chance aren’t together anymore, Summer isn’t leaping on her prey nearly quickly enough for her mother’s satisfaction. So it’s time for Phyllis to take matters into her own hands. And show Summer how it’s done.
Everything I Do, I Do It For You
Phyllis will throw herself at Chance. She is so irresistible, that the guy won’t know what hit him, and he will instantly fall for her charms. This will be Summer’s first lesson. Be more like Mama. Strike while the iron is hot.
Then, when Chance is completely and utterly enamored with Phyllis, Phyllis will break his heart. And Summer will be there to pick up the pieces. Chance will be so grateful. And Summer will be grateful, too. Instead of needing to work for her man, Phyllis will serve Chance up on a silver platter. Really, there is no way this plan could go wrong. And maybe then Summer will finally appreciate her devoted mother. And listen to everything Phyllis has to say, moving forward.
