Married at First Sight UK star Peggy Rose has opened up about her time on the hit reality show, claiming she felt “peer pressure” from her co-stars.

Peggy was coupled up with Georges Berthonneau in the experiment and after committing to each other at their Final Vows ceremony, the duo have remained together ever since.

Looking back at her journey, Peggy called out some of her fellow brides and grooms who encouraged her to have sex with Georges before she felt ready.

Chatting in a video uploaded to their new YouTube channel, Team Geggy, the couple reflected on the challenges they’ve faced in their romance so far.

Georges highlighted how some of the MAFS cast made a “big thing” about the shortage of intimacy in their relationship initially.

“Everyone made a big hoo-ha of it,” he remarked. “I get why, I get it. But I’d like to think that I made myself very clear at the reunion that it’s not their relationship, it’s ours.”

“I just think it’s really sad,” Peggy continued. “To be honest, I don’t know how I stayed in the process.”

She went on to describe the comments from her co-stars about her sex life as “pure peer pressure”.

“It’s just not a nice feeling, even at my age, it’s not a nice feeling,” Peggy added. “You kind of think: ‘Well, we will have sex when we’re ready to have sex’. It was hard, especially when you have people judging your relationship when they’re either not in a relationship themselves or they are deeply struggling in their relationship.”

The couple have confirmed that despite not being as intimate as their co-stars during their time on the show, they have since taken their relationship to the next level and have slept together.

While he respected Peggy’s initial hesitancy and patiently waited for her to feel comfortable, Georges made it clear he was “ready” for the sexual side of their romance from the first day they met.

“I would like to just interject; I was ready on the wedding night,” he laughed, with Peggy joking: “You were ready at the stag!”
