Kody Brown’s currently living with only one wife, but Sister Wives followers may see him trying to win back the women he hurt. The father of 18 has never been good with juggling his time between Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown. He would very often play favorites. However, if Kody were to turn over a new; leaf, his luck could change.
The Wyoming used to love the idea of a large polygamous family, but as the years went by, Kody became disillusioned with the institution that was the Mormon religion. Sister Wives premiered in 2010 and, at the time, was one of the first shows that followed a plural family. Most TLC viewers have never met a family like the Browns, and during the early season, the four wives and Kody looked like they really got along. However, as the years went by, their grand plan began to fall apart.
Some of Kody’s Kids Are Coming Around
While most of Janelle Brown’s children are refusing to speak with their father of a feud that centered around his strict COVID-19 rules, some of Christine Brown’s daughters are making an effort, no matter how small. Father’s Day came and went with no posts from any of his four wives or 18 children. However, towards the end of the night, Gwen and Ysabel Brown both shared a photo of them with Kody, laughing. The message was positive, with both girls noting that they’d always love their father. The message made it seem like Kody was making things right with his kids before he dealt with their mothers.
Janelle Hasn’t Left Arizona
Even though Janelle was the second wife of Kody’s to call it quits this past December, the mother of six has yet to move out of the state of Arizona. On the contrary, Janelle has shared that she plans to live in her RV for another summer, just like she did last year. Kody wasn’t thrilled at the Sister Wives star’s decision at the time, but he could be having a change of heart due to wanting Janelle back.
While it is most likely that Janelle has stayed in Arizona so her youngest daughter, Savanah, could graduate from high school with her friends, she still hasn’t announced any plans to move. With no children tying her down, Janelle is free to make her own decisions. However, Kody may be secretly trying to reconcile.
All Four Wives Will Be On New Season
Legally, Kody only has one wife that he’s currently still living with, and that’s Robyn. Spiritually, the Sister Wives star has none, as all three chose to leave their toxic marriage. However, surprisingly, all four wives, including Christine, have decided to participate in the next season of Sister Wives. Even though the Browns are going through some turmoil, all of Kody’s spouses felt it was important to carry on with what they all had agreed to do in 2010.
Christine shared that she’d be filming from her home in Utah, and her fiance David Woolley would be stepping in front of the camera. Meri, who moved to her B&B Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, will also be allowing cameras to film her lifestyle. While the first few episodes may be filled with anger and resentment, Kody will have a chance to start on his apology tour, which could make all the difference.
Meri Hasn’t Changed Her Bio
When any reality TV star breaks up, the first thing they do is rush to their social media to change their status in their bio. However, Meri, Kody’s first wife, didn’t do that. The mother of one has only noted that she is New York Times Best Selling Author, a business owner, and Sister Wives star. Not once does Meri mention that she ended her relationship with the father of 18. Even though Kody shared he was no longer attracted to his first wife, the chemistry can be rebuilt if both are willing to put in the hard work.
Kody Is Still Married In The Church’s Eyes
Kody and his four Sister Wives were once all a part of the Apostolic United Brethren, a sect of the Mormon religion. With one legal marriage, the other three were seen as spiritual unions within their church. And even though Meri, Janelle, and Christine have walked away from their vows, it doesn’t necessarily mean Kody is divorced in the church’s eyes. According to Robyn, each wife must sleep with a new man before the divorce can be complete. While Christine may be in a new relationship Meri and Janelle are not. Meaning there is still a chance that Kody can take them back.
The Breakups Could Give The Browns a New Start

It’s called a breakup because the relationship is broken, and there is no denying that there was an immense strain on Kody and his four spouses. However, there is a low chance that, having had time apart, the former couples could try again. The breakup would have allowed for space and time to cool down with a much-needed evaluation.
Kody Isn’t Ready To Let Go
Kody made it clear in the latest season of Sister Wives that he is not ready to let go of Christine, Janelle, or Meri. The patriarch had numerous breakdowns and outbursts regarding being left and even stated he felt blindsided by the move. Kody’s visceral reaction proves he still feels for his former wives.
Kody Still Thinks He Can Control The Spouses
A big part of the Sister Wives relationships is control, and Kody still very much feels like he can tell his wives what to do. While most couples who have split go their separate ways, Kody has been inserting himself every chance he gets, especially into Christine’s new life. The TLC personality has tried telling her how to raise their child in hopes of starting a conversation with her. While the idea may seem farfetched, Kody may just be rewarded if he puts in the work.
