3 Most Cringe-Worthy House Of The Dragon Scenes Fans Wish They Could Unsee

Don’t get us wrong, we love the Targaryen drama, but sometimes it seems like House of the Dragon just wants people to turn it off and never come back.

House of the Dragon is not the safest show to watch while enjoying a meal, as it can occasionally get gory, explicit, bloody, violent, or cringe-worthy, or all of the above. There are some moments that fans will want to erase from their memories forever.

Aegon in the Window

What better way to introduce the future king of the Greens than to place him in an open window, naked and masturbating, so that all the little folk can see him up there? Well, actually, any other way would have been much better. While some fans still feel that the scene was unnecessary and put there just to catch people off guard, others argue that it was a pretty good way to establish teen Aegon’s priorities in life.

The Uncle Thing

We get it, the Targaryen family has a very special relationship with incest, and it is considered okay among them, but sometimes fans wish the show would not shove it right in their faces. Did Rhaenyra really have to call Daemon “uncle” just to remind everyone that they are, in fact, related?

“I feel like you can get away with ignoring all the incest sometimes, but there inevitably comes a moment when they slap you in the face with it and it just makes you recoil harder,” Redditor AtlasClone noted.

The Feet

How could we not remind you of arguably the worst moment in television history? Episode 9 certainly left a lot of fans traumatized, even those who thought they were prepared for anything after watching Game of Thrones.

But Alicent indulging Lord Larys’ foot fetish at the Green Council was just too much. Not only was it horrible to watch, but it also undermined Larys’ image as a menacing puppet master with dirt on everyone else.
